I have been in the racing world for many years. I am putting something together to get more people into racing and making it affordable for the average person to be able to afford better horses and have a chance to make some money. If you are looking to just have fun this could be for you and if you are looking for something to invest in, this could be for you. I've got something together where you can own part of a race horse for as low as $1500 with no other payments for 6 months. if you are interested let me know and i can give you more information.

Interesting.

Do you have any other ways I can lose money or should I just set it all on fire now?

You're in 2k a month minimum.

This guy must have an interesting offer for that price.

Seriously. Just set it on fire. I won't really even have to pay for training and it's going to break me

I was thinking the same thing. 1500 for 6 months and your probably 1/30 on a 35k claimer.

Buy one and name him "bagh of dix," I'm in.

Seriously, got involved with something similar about 10 years ago. "Three Drink Minimum" was his name. Broke his maiden first out at Churchill, got hurt, never to be seen again. He now stands in my back yard for a stud fee of a bottle of Maker's.

Buy a boat. Better investment.

Y'all gonna try to run horses in the LA Derby?

What's the pitch for investors?

Just like the stock market you can lose, but I have a 5 and 10 year plan that this should pay off my house and continue to build up a savings for when I retire at 55 to do this full time. the only way I make money is if you make money so I want to make money. To break even we need to average $1800 a month per horse. I have kept a graph of horses I claimed, attempted to claim but got out shook for, or had on my watch list to claim but didn't have stall available for him at the time. 81% averaged greater than 2k a month. 57% averaged greater than 3k a month and 29% averaged greater than 5k a month and these were mostly 5k claimers. By doing this a can spread myself over more horses and most people that I have sold shares to want me to keep any money made to put into other horses. We just got finished working the derby on fulton street in New Orleans during the Kentucky derby also

We own 11 acres with a gallop track, so we have no stall rental fee. We buy a trailer load of shavings at a time instead of paying $11 a bag. We estimate the price to be between $3 to 4 dollars a bag. We have a guy we buy good hay from for $5.50 a bail as opposed to paying $8 a bail at the track. That gives us more money for vitamins and other care while keeping our price down.

Yeah and if you go with West Point or greenhillstables or another one you will never see your horse run. We run at the fair grounds and evangeline downs. Our price brakes down for a share to less than $5 a day for training

Raising baby's will kill you. Though I'm not a fan of his Broberg has the right idea with using the claiming ranks.
