Just re-watched the Pilot from the first go. This show could have been an all time great. Sucks what it became.

Just for the love of God no Sylar.
The show was unbelievably awesome and new and creative and way before the Super hero hype that's going on now and well acted and well written and paced and then Sylar just wouldn't die. And then they just completely went off the rails.
I was/am more pissed about the decline of Heroes more than Dexter and Weeds combined.

It'll be hard to match the first season of heros in anyway. They had solid actors and writing and directing and Hayden Panettiere and Ali Larter two of my all time top 10 Hollywood crushes.
The show was unbelievably awesome and new and creative and way before the Super hero hype that's going on now and well acted and well written and paced and then Sylar just wouldn't die. And then they just completely went off the rails.

The problem with the show was Sylar, Hiro and the whiny brother-- you can't have all powerful characters its impossible to write an ongoing series when 3 of your main characters should be able to either solve or avoid any major plot point.

Season 1 is some of the best television ever. There was no way they could ever capture that sense of discovery again though.

I see a lot of people saying that season 2 is what turned them off the show. For me personally it was the season 1 finale.
The rest of season 1 is mostly fantastic. The entire season was building up to this massive epic showdown that would wrap up the events of the first season and then they gave us the most anticlimactic finale I've ever seen.
