It's damn weird for sure. A dead body, a bunch of people watching a family grieve... And those that typically say "Oh, he looks so peaceful now." No shite lady... he's dead.

It's a relic of a different age....
My mother and her siblings all have burial policies...she and her siblings (and in-laws) have all elected to be cremated...even though we have a family grave in algiers
