Are the Cardinals & Cubs playing tonight?
Posted on 5/4/15 at 1:43 pm to kilo
Do we need 4 threads for this game/series?
Posted on 5/4/15 at 1:47 pm to RollDatRoll
Well, we do our daily thread every game day.
Not sure what the problem is? No trolling here, just daily Cardinals thread.

Someone start another thread. I'm unsure if the Cubs and the Cardinals play.

Looks like the John Jay lead-off experiment continues

Just thinking about the Reynolds/Adams 1B issue against LHP.
Mark Reynolds lefty splits:
2014: .173/.277/.296/.573
2015: .000/.250/.000/.250
Matt Adams lefty splits:
2014: .190/.231/.298/.528
2015: .167/.231/.167/.397
I get that Adams struggles against LHP and the thinking about Reynolds being able to spell him against Lefties but Reynolds is equally as bad if not worse over the last two seasons.
Dont know if Reynolds is the answer to the problem quite honestly.

You filthy peon, you bite your tongue. Cardinals will always proceed any other team being played and when it is a non believer stating they must always refer to as "The St. Louis Cardinals and The Best Fans in Baseball"

Kris Bryant goes yard for the first time this season.

Its good to have the Cubs competitive again. Makes the rivalry more fun in my opinion.

I dont like sitting Molina with Car-Mart starting.

Cubs need to take an early lead here
Gotta take advantage of Martinez struggling so badly.

He is struggling right now.

He is just all over the place. Rizzo even chased a couple bad ones. Very surprising. He can't locate any of his pitches at all.

Regardless, we'll still win.

That goes back to my questioning why Matheny would sit Molina tonight with Martinez starting. Molina has been good keeping him in check and helping him with his mechanics during the game.

I agree with you. I'm assuming that's why after the walk to Coghlan, Matheny basically sprinted to the mound to go talk to him. Martinez didn't say a lot

This is a good club, you cant spot them runs through walks in the early going and expect to win.
