If you haven't done so yet, you need to get to ore doubling asap. Build a survivalist generator or two and a sag mill. It will crush the ores into 2x as much. Make sure you try to keep flint in the sag mill to reduce power and decrease power use. You can grind gravel for flint. You can use the pulverizer from Thermal, but I like the config options on the enderio machines. An alloy smelter would be a good investment as well

The smeltery also doubles your ore output.

I have no idea what any of that is.

ore doubling? I just build a line of ovens and feed them.
I'll look into survivalist generator and sag mill.

I see I need red-stone for it, I haven't got any yet, but I was just about to build a 30x30 strip mine to the bedrock. I should get some then.
