Everyone is saying RJ Harris is underrated.

on Harris, from NFL.com
quote:
ANALYSIS
STRENGTHS At his best down the field. Adequate deep speed with good concentration and ball tracking. Doesn't let defenders crowd him against sideline downfield. Creates space for himself and is able to adjust to the ball and finish tough catches. High-point catcher with good hand strength. Has some shiftiness to his game after the catch and is able to create yardage with bouncy short-area quickness. Consistently productive. Went for more than 100 yards receiving and at least one touchdown in eight of his first nine games in 2014.
WEAKNESSES Would like to see more focus to pluck and secure quickly on short throws. Shows tightness in hips, leading to upright routes and a lack of bend into breaks. Slow to unlock and accelerate when making stop-and-start cuts and his speed cuts are rounded and drifting. Too "gradual" into his breaks, allowing defenders time to react and close distance. Won't create as much separation underneath through his routes as desired.
DRAFT PROJECTION Priority free agent
BOTTOM LINE Frequently targeted, system receiver who had three straight seasons with more than 1,000 yards receiving, including 2014, with 1,551 yards and 15 touchdowns. Harris has average height for an outside receiver, but an above-average skill set when the ball is in the air. While his ability to gain yards after the catch is solid, he doesn't appear to have the athletic ability and acceleration out of his cuts to get open consistently in the NFL.

Saints sign Syracuse G Sean Hickey
quote:
STRENGTHS Can get good movement when he locks in. At his best in jump sets, with a good punch and good leverage inside. Walls off defenders effectively in run game. Can drop his anchor and take a stand against power rushers when needed.
WEAKNESSES Looks lost when he gets to the second level. Poor footwork on every wide defender. Plays with low, wide hands on pass pro, which leads to a lack of punch. Turns his shoulders and opens up too quickly in pass pro. Does not look for work downfield. Lacks thickness through his chest.
DRAFT PROJECTION Round 7 or priority free agent
NFL COMPARISON Andrew Gardner
BOTTOM LINE High-cut college tackle who could struggle badly in pass protection if left at that position in the pros. If he were a little more athletic, he could be an interesting center prospect in the Chris Myers mold. As an NFL prospect, he won't check off many of the boxes teams are looking for in terms of his natural talent.

Hickey is a nice get
Many thought he'd be drafted in the 6th or so
Many thought he'd be drafted in the 6th or so
quote:
STRENGTHS: Solidly put-together with adequate height and build. Light feet and natural flexibility, not playing stiff. Sets up quickly and gets into position, squaring and staying alert with controlled movements.
Patient off the snap and mirrors well with consistent marriage between his footwork and eye use. Improved base, digging his cleats in to anchor, extending and using his strong hands and wrists to absorb contact. Good snatch and release in space to avoid holding calls. Mobile with no issues getting to the second level. Utilizes angles and anticipates well as he's not often fooled by extra pressures, picking up blitzes quickly pre and post snap.
Comfortable and confident playing demeanor. Hard worker with a professional approach to the game. NFL-ready and high effort player, on and off the field. Experienced at left and right tackle, starting 38 straight games to finish his college career.
WEAKNESSES: Average body type with short arms and limited power potential. Lacks brute strength and not a violent point of attack player. Needs to develop his core strength. Not overpowering in space and needs to load more ammo into his punch. Too easy for blockers to drive him on his heels when blockers have access to his body.
On the ground too much on tape and clearly best in smaller areas when not caught overextended, limiting his versatility on the edges. Needs to flash more of a mean streak and add more glass to his diet. Started every game the past three seasons, but his durability needs vetted after tearing a ligament in both knees in 2011.
Inexperienced inside at guard, his most likely NFL position.

Saints sign DT Kaleb Eulls of Ms State
DT.
quote:
OVERVIEW
2014: Started 12 games at defensive tackle and one game at defensive end. Recorded 34 total tackles, three tackles for loss and three sacks. Named SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week following the win at Kentucky on Oct. 25, when he had two sacks. 2013: Started all 13 games. 2012: Started all 13 games. 2011: Named to the All-SEC Freshman Team. Was only defensive freshman (true or redshirt) to start all 13 games in the SEC. 2010: Redshirted.
PRO DAY RESULTS
40-yard dash: 5.20 and 5.26 seconds
Vertical jump: 28 inches
Broad jump: 8 feet, 8 inches
20-yard short shuttle: 4.59 seconds
Three-cone drill: 7.31 seconds
Bench press: 26 reps
ANALYSIS
STRENGTHS Plays with a wide, strong base. Has power in his lower half. Able to brace up against double teams and eat up blocks. Uses good pursuit angles and has adequate lateral quickness against the run. Consistent player and four-year starter in a physical conference. Plays with effort and was part of an aggressive defense.
WEAKNESSES Legs straighten out and his pad level rises too often at contact. At times he's too locked in on backfield rather than handling the task at hand -- especially on stunts. Poor pass-rush skills. Uses just a bull rush and will stall out if he isn't winning within the first couple of seconds of the snap. Hand usage and placement aren't where they need to be.
DRAFT PROJECTION Round 6 or 7
SOURCES TELL US "Hard worker and I know that he's well thought of at that school. He's a rotational guy at most." -- NFC South scout
NFL COMPARISON Brandon Dunn
BOTTOM LINE Has the athletic ability and motor to be effective against the run and was good enough to start for four years in the challenging SEC West. Eulls needs a great deal of improvement as a pass rusher and some of that improvement can come with better hand usage. Has the look of a competent NFL backup.
