People familiar with NFL salary rules: Is there a max value that an undrafted free agent can earn? Do they have a max cap value like the drafted players?

If not, Collins could actually be well served to avoid getting drafted. It'll give him some time to prove his innocence and come out of this as a 1st round talent with no team and a wide open bidding war for his services. He'd probably still lose out on some money had he gone where he was originally slotted, but this might be a good way to avoid getting a low round max contract offer.

Yes, but he can incentives of course he will not earn millions but it will be a 3 year deal for maybe close to half a million a year.

Wide open bidding war? While Collins can pick where he wants to go in an UDFA he has no leverage. You need leverage if you want a bidding war.
