a mold kit
Wut?
What is this?
FYI, there are tons of different kinds of mold so don't freak out as it's not all toxic.
I posted about this a while back in another thread
quote:
Remove all affected drywall (bleach will kill but is not a long-term solution). If there is any mold in the framing, expose it, clean it, dry it, cover with an oil based or shellac primer. Latex primers are not nearly as effective. Make sure the area is completely dry with no water/moisture before covering.
You can also run a dehumdifier for a few days with a HEPA filter to help remove the spores.
If the moisture is coming from the humidity in the air due to a shower, bath or improperly vented dryer, you NEED more ventilation and air circulation. Stagnant air and moisture are a mold's best friend.
If it's in your vents and duct work, hire a pro.
FYI not all molds are dangerous and not all black molds are dangerous. Cladsporium is pretty benign compared to stachybotrys, and they are both "black mold."
Old thread
I use this stuff to clean mold in repo houses I manage.
