who knows if Randle gets his attitude right and is even in the NFL three years from now - but with Cruz to pair with Beckham? You'd have to think there's no other similar talent available in a position of more need to take another WR.

For example, the Giants have had trouble keeping Manning upright for a while - that's a bigger big picture deal if you buy into the build from the inside out football philosophy.

Think back a couple of years back to when the Falcons drafted Julio Jones. He's nothing short of spectacular when he's healthy but they ignored other positions of need and with a big contract to Ryan they can't afford to spend free agent money to keep their proven talent or bring in good replacements. It hasn't worked for them IMO.

That's the main question. With a healthy Cruz, there is no need to draft Cooper. However, if Cruz is a shell of his former self or if you have doubts as to his long-term health (he'll turn 29 this season and is coming off a significant injury), the Cooper pick makes sense.
