there's more info in that thread killz linked in the OP
but my sets in the gym are generally 8 reps, 6 reps, 4 reps, 2 reps, then burn out with 20 reps. with one minute rests between sets. do my sets like that so I get the heavy weight to build muscle and the light weight to burn calories. If I change my sets at all it's to burn out at the end of my workout with sets of high reps to get a good pump before I leave.
I also run a 7:30 min pace mile on the treadmill prior to lifting to warm up. And I try to stay no longer than an hour in the gym, however sometimes it gets to 2 hours.
