A few other places that I am sure to hit are L'As du Fallafel for their falafel (seriously good)

Way better than L'As is Maoz, one in the 6th and another in the 5th. Here's what David Lebovitz says about Maoz, and I concur (after sampling both): LINK /

Rome recs: Roscioli (the bakery and the wine/foodshop/cafe), Antico Forno in the corner of the Campo di Fiori for pizza bianca, Fatamorgana for gelato (via Laurino near piazza Polopo), the new Testaccio market....

Spend a couple of bucks on the Katie Parla restaurant/food app for Rome. Well worth it. I've been to and also recommend all of the above. Took Rome food tour from Parla's group. Awesome experience. I'd add Pizzarium to the list too. BTW I believe Parla is on Andrew Zimmern's show on tonight.
