Jorts were intended to be shorts made of denim. Jeans material plus shorts = jorts. Jorts MUST have hems.

Cut off jeans are daisy dukes or cutoffs. They are NOT jorts.

Based on the above, it should be clear that cut off jorts do not exist.

Not impossible, what if said jort wearer is unhappy with the length of his jorts or wishes to show off the "sweet spot"?

Their lack of hem does not change their material, thus cut off jorts are simply a specific style of jorts.

All people are idiots from Florida, but there are other idiots.
All hemmed, shortened length jean material shorts are jorts, but not not all jorts are hemmed.
