Dark Truth is just a tad under 10%, where Darkness is just a tad over 10%. 08-09 Darkness is just about the best beer in the world. Dark Truth not so much. Not many beers do well after year #2. A lot of stuff just falls apart like you said and I usually find that sours turn to vinegar.

I'm really trying to dwindle down and just about get out of the aging anything except gueuze and lambics game, with the exception of Darkness and a couple others I am experimenting with like Czar looking for that gem.

Interesting that you should mention Darkness, I have 2012 in the cellar and am wondering when to crack it. I was thinking definitely this winter, but if you say 08-09 is still great, then maybe I should reconsider.

As far sours getting vinegary, I haven't noticed that with anything that didn't have a little acetic acid presence from the start.
