No, intentionally fouling off the ball to keep sending that guy to the line is a loophole.

It's not a basketball play.

neither is fouling guys at the end of the game who you know will make free throws just to stop the clock. Especially when you are down more than 2-3 possessions. Its fricking dumb. While we are at it, getting the ball at half court after a time out is dumb. If these guys are the best of the best, make them go full court.

This only started happening because a bunch of NBA players can't make a shot that I can hit over 50% of the time.

Making free throws is a basketball play. If teams loose to this strategy it means they do not have 5 players on their roster that can make an uncontested 15 foot set shot from the CHARITY stripe. If that is the case, they deserve to loose.
