TFWIW - talked to someone who plays with Monroe in Texas (7 on 7 team). He said Monroe told him that he wanted to go to LSU. this happened within the last 2 weeks.

If he does commit to us, hopefully he stops the process because he is a VERY impressionable kid so he's going to respond well to everywhere he visits

Well, that article said that he was going to "trim his list" at The Opening.

Yeah, I know. With Monroe though, I wouldn't be surprised if he still decided to make his announcement at The Opening.

I'm an idiot because I think that a recruit thats leaning towards playing CB in college knows LSU's depth chart (2 5* CBs last year, and possibly 2 5* CBs this year) is not as favorable as A&Ms?
I think he ends up at A&M based on those points. There's no crow to be had if he ends up at LSU because I have no info to tell me otherwise, but that's just my thoughts.

Real story, I stood behind him in the will call line at the LSU/Wisconsin game and I heard him tell someone else that he was about to commit...(referring to LSU obviously)...given that was in August and he still hasn't done it makes me think he wants to just enjoy the process. I would not be surprised at all if he's playing in purple and gold next year.
