Had a lightning strike somewhere in the neighborhood and knocked my ATT u-verse and internet out. Called and they said will send out tech to replace modem . SUCKS

My modem was knocked out by a lightning strike last week and they overnighted me a modem. I was without tv for less than 24 hours. Why are they sending a tech out to replace the modem?
