Someone I was around last night was "speculating" that the dad has to fire people sometimes at his job and someone could have come after him.
That was just a total BS speculation though.

Road rage. Firing employees. Anything like that can happen, anywhere, anytime. Always possible. I heard the mom is a school administrator so if this is true she too could be in a position that would upset people. I'm surprised no one here has brought up the fact that the dad worked for Baker Hughes and of course they have been laying people off. Not sure if his position at Baker Hughes would have anything to do with hiring/firing. Apparently he was in some sort of IT management position and appears to be a senior employee.
There was a shooting (I believe murder?) in Metairie several years ago where a guy followed another guy home and shot him after a parking lot fight.
