i kind of remember being excited at some the Saints picks in 1997.
Jared Tomich was a good player out of Nebraska and Troy Davis had a ton of rushing yards in college.
i kind of knew who Keith Poole was. He was probably the top WR from Arizona St. That was a good team he played on with Jake Plummer at QB. They also had Pat Tillman on defense but I think they lost in the Rose Bowl to Ohio St?
anyway, I thought we had hit the jack pot that year. I was just a young idiot then.
The Ditka drafts were so bizarre. Naeole and Turley were good O-linemen that were picked in his era. Cam Cleeland was looking good but he had that hazing thing right? Andre Royal hit him with a sock full of quarters or some shite?
lame.

Even as a young teen I knew that draft sucked once Ditka started touting their toughness and being his kind of guys.

Naeole was decent for us but wasn't worth his draft slot. Ditka liked that he broke a blackboard in half. Ditka was retarded.

His dad called Buddy D and was complaining about the black players, it was pretty funny.
