"I am ready for Hoover and Walljasper to take control of the pitching staff and only bring in Sellman and Corbello when the game is out of hand to save time on their arms"
That's basically where it's at. They start the big games. You have the series won, you throw a game to the 3/4 pitcher.
"I just know that a little more seriousness and concentration might help just a tad."
Exactly. The bench players need to learn to focus instead of trying to be fools on ESPN. That horse head and Marvel mask aren't getting you on the field anytime soon.
"If this team doesn't compete for a championship, defense will be why. Some of the errors they make are just routine plays."
Key statement. This is killing them. The 3 infield gloves next year coming in will put pressure on some players imo.
"I can recall Arizona riding one blonde pitcher, and only her, all the way to a national title a few years ago."
Hitting is so much better now than it was then. Don't see it happening to often in the future.
"Corbello is a hit or miss. She is great when she doesn't give out those free passes. Selman just isn't there quite yet, her control looks much better this season but I see next season as the year she really gets it together. Next year we have another tremendous pitcher coming in Sydney Smith"
Pretty sure you're the same guy that was saying she would be the ace of the staff. I have heard that Smith is pretty much better than Corbello and Selman right now. If not, she isn't far from it. She walks into the 3rd pitching spot next year. Which is why I said before, 1 of these 4 pitchers is leaving next year. Question is, who?

Yeah, I was thinking things are going to get awkward fast with LSU anticipating 5 pitchers on the roster next season. Smith obviously is another heigh ceiling talent if she's confident enough to sign her LOI with LSU given its current roster.
I'm not big on speculating who's leaving, so I won't make a guess. However I agree there will be attrition.
