Mad Men should not have come back after the split (Spoilers)

The series should have ended with Bert dancing.
For the first time I could 'see' the actors acting in this past episode. Jon Hamm in particular. The scene with Pete, Don, and Peggy at the snack machine seemed like they were just aimlessly going through the motions.
Some ambiguity with Don leaning on the desk after Bert's performance would have been preferable to anything that has happened so far in the past 3 episodes.

I rewatched the whole show in preparation for the finale. I'm glad I did. Good reminder why I watched it in the first place. This has just been awful. I hope that at the end, I can say that these three episodes sucked and it was a great finish, but I seriously doubt it.
AMC done fricked up. I would give anything to have a Burger Chef moment again. Get the essential characters together for meaningful moments.

I think they wrecked a lot of the mojo Mad Men had going for it. When you have that kind of gap in the middle of a "season," its just really hard to get that train moving again...especially with a show like Mad Men that is so character driven.

No, they just absolutely should not have split up the last season. All momentum was lost. What a terrible decision that has torpedoed the end of an incredible show.
