I know. I remember all of that. I'm just commenting to the guy who thinks he came up with the second husband because one was a doctor and one was in the Army. That's the same person, named Greg. That's all I was saying.

What? Sorry I was imagining you making out with Belle
Posted on 4/20/15 at 8:23 pm to SwaggerCopter
Yeah, I figured it out after posting. But no, I honestly didn't remember that Army dude's name is Greg without looking it up. This show covers ten years of soap opera story lines; Ive forgotten some and completely skipped a good bit.

To be fair, I did a rewatch very recently, so I am very fresh on everything.

Dammit Sally. You can cry better than that kid. But damn, did she drop some motherfricking truth bombs there in that episode. For as shite as her crying is, the rest of her acting is so damn spot on.
For some reason I never knew all this time that Glen is Weiner's kid IRL. How the hell did I miss that? And Betty is such a frigid ol' hag if she couldn't even send the kid off with a kiss knowing he's probably dead in a month.
I want to see the new guy and Roger face off over Joan. Maybe this will make her less county. She needs to take the Don Draper approach to kids not named Sally.
For as off as this half of the season has been, I still love those Don and Peggy moments. They're fantastic. I love how he teaches her as he evaluates himself.
This one was better but they still have a long, long way to go to really wrap this up in a satisfactory way (not happy, satisfactory).
So long ol' 17B.

I will say that Weiner's son (Glenn Bishop) actually seems to have figured out this acting thing. That was the least terrible he's ever been.
Best Glenn scene yet.
And he gone die.

I always liked that actor (Bruce Greenwood), especially on the defunct John in Cincinnati (HBO). He's just a smooth arse dude.

Bruce Greenwood is a really good unheralded actor. Did a good job as JFK in 13 Days and had a good role as Denzel's old friend in Flight.

I'm glad y'all brought him up. It was bugging the crap out of me that I couldn't figure out why I knew him so well. Flight is the answer.

He also played Pike in the Star Trek reboot.

I'll be honest, I thought she killed that scene. I thought it was very subtle the way she moved from the beginning of the call to the end.

Did they ever specify what kind of trip Sally is going on?
I get that it's some kind of multi-state tour including D.C., but some reader comments I saw were acting like it was a big farewell between her and Don at the train station.

I hope it's not the last that we see of her.
If I remember correctly Betty mentioned that it was her first big trip away "alone". But I could see her maybe skipping out too. So who knows.

Yeah, there has to be something a little more touching.

Well since she just flat out offered to somehow ditch her kid in favor of a guy she barely knows (I didn't imagine that did I?), I wouldn't count on her becoming less county anytime soon.

I think she way being sarcastic there... But I wasn't super sure. It was really hard to tell.
Posted on 4/20/15 at 10:51 pm to SwaggerCopter
She was being completely facetious. His reaction should have confirmed that.

Finally watched the episode. Best of the 3 so far but that isn't saying too much. The Pete and Peggy scene with Don in the middle was awesome and reminded me of Mad Men. Joan is awful. Peggy is such a miserable bitch. We need more Roger. I thought the first half of season built up more of a Sally and Don relationship, that better not be the last we see of her. I want to see more of guys like Harry and Stan and not real estate agents and shitty waitresses. What is going on here?
Betty is
Did I forget some awkward scenes between her and Glenn in the past where she showed she liked him? Also, how bad of an actor can that kid be? Must be good to be the son..

Im pretty sure thats the last we see of Sally. And likely the last of major airtime for Joan who has become a miserable count.
They have devoted little time to the best characters in these first few episodes, shite better change.
Need more Roger, Harry Crane, Pete Campbell etc.
