A. Jon doesn't have the Targaryean "look" (which may also point away from him actually being Rhaegar's son)
The Targs gene is weak though right? The kids usually looked like the other parent. That's why targ+targ= silver same with Lannisters

Holy shite! I did not know that recording existed! My favorite scene in possibly all of fantasy made as real as it will ever be since Game of Thrones decided to shite on my fandom and exclude that scene entirely from the show.

Blonde hair is a recessive allele. I assume silver hair is as well. Starks have good strong dark hair, the dominant allele.

I still think he is.

The Baratheons are related and they're all dark, so that is possible.
The mad king's wife was his sister, and their parents were brother and sister. The first "fork" in Dany's family tree is Aegon V's wife who was a Blackwood.

No. It makes sense that if it is revealed that Jon is actually a Targaryen, he'd be killed, period, particularly if Robert knew it was the child of Rhaegar and Lyanna (remember? That's what started the whole war of the usurper in the first place).
Plus, it was Ned that talked Robert into not pursuing and killing Viserys and Dany. Put the idea of not killing children in his head and whatnot, while at the same time leaving two more obvious threats there before Jon.

Jon is part Targarian

Yep, I'm afraid by honor he's stuck in the Night's Watch until he dies.
Or until that Wall comes down.

He has to be a Blackfyre

Only Ned and Howland Reed were the survivors of the tower of joy that could have known. Obviously neither would have said anything.
Because I think Tywin should have realized it's highly likely that Lyanna died in child birth, and that 3 members of the Kingsguard, one of which is Rhaegar's best friend and the other being the Lord Commander, were there indicates they were guarding the actual king. It's clear from the Tower of Joy sequence in the book that they knew what they'd find when they reached the tower.

Maybe, heck probably, but he is pro Targaryean - if something doesn't work out with Dany or Young Griff, Jon is his "Targaryean" in the hole.
I highly doubt he is. Doesn't make sense for him to have played Rhaegar and Aerys against each other, and then send Dany and Vicerys to their almost certain deaths. Varys now only has an interest in Dany because of her dragons. Really going to Slaver's Bay instead of Pentos probably saved Dany's life. He's merely using the Targaryen name to seat Aegon.

It's been awhile since I've read it but how many people actually know who was stationed at the TOJ? Obviously the Kingsguard was with Rhaegar out in the war but Tywin was marching to and the storming Kingslanding at that time. Is it possible that only Ned and Reed knew who was stationed at the TOJ?

Agree. The books make it seem like he is a Blackfyre loyalist.
I think the entire Blackfyre storyline is getting cut out the show though.

Now the question becomes....were Rhaegar and Lyanna secretly married making John the legit heir or is he still a bastard?

I don't see how. Surely to god they would have kept tabs on where each and every member of the Kingsguard was. Plus 5 members of Ned's party was killed at the tower, plus his sister. And they certainly knew that Arthur Dayne was there, since it's well known Ned returned Dawn to Starfall where Ashara Dayne killed herself.
If I had to take a guess why Ashara killed herself, when the Tyrells and Redwynes were defeated at Storm's End, Ashara knew where her brother was and why he was there, and sent a raven to Ned in order to get her brother spared. When Ned more or less came alone to the Tower of Joy instead of an army at his back, that is why Arthur had a sad smile on his face, knowing that Ashara sent him the message on where to find him, but also that he meant to do this honorably. When Ned returned with Dawn, she felt as if she directly killed her brother, and the man she loved killed her brother, so she killed herself.

I think so. I'm betting that Rhaegar made a scroll, with his, each of the Kingsguard who were present, and Lyanna's signatures legitimizing any child that may be born.

Targs were mostly silver with purple, dark blue, eyes. There were exceptions though.
Baelor Breakspear. Son of Daeron Targaryen and had a Martell mother. Rhaegar's Aegon was fair haired at birth while his sister looked like his mother, also Martell. Catelyn Stark is said to hate that Jon looks more Stark than any of her sons, but this can also be explained. Aryan and Jon are said to favor each other and Arya is supposedly a spitting image for young Lyanna. Jon just looks like his mother but is much like his father in personality.
