Your argument isn't quite correct. While it's certainly true that a successful athletic program needs good revenue generating teams, it also helps to have the others. For example, it has helped LSU in football recruiting that oh, they also happen to have a great track team. Lots of top athletes are multisport and want something to do when they aren't playing football.
BTW, baseball is not a revenue generator at most universities.
And yes, your girlfriend will shortly leave you for her new girlfriend.
