Looking for a decent all-around rod to match my new Citica G.

I have a 7 ft green carrot stick and its a great combo. Super light. I've been fishing with is for 5 + years. Not sure if they are still in business though.

7ft MH Fast action
Without knowing price range but seeing your fine taste in reel selection, I would recommend a G. Loomis or St. Croix Legend.
Seriously though, you can get a good all around rod for under $85. Abu Garcia Vendetta's are really good for the money.

I'm upgrading from a old Abu Garcia combo deal i've had for years, but wasn't looking to spend Chronarch or Curado prices. Probably looking for a rod thats around $50-75.

I like the 7' Falcon Coastal med action.
ETA: It all depends on what you like. I like a light rod with a lot of flex.

Buy one that matches what you fish with most of the time; i.e. if you primarily worm fish get one that's on the stiff side & if you primarily use plugs/crankbaits get one less stiff.

AG Vendetta $79.99 no tax and free shipping. Very light and balanced well, can throw all day easily. I've only had one issue with the tip on mine but that was with 50lb braid and the bait hooked cinched down to the bait keeper, replaced the tip... good as new.

Find the one with the best warranty in your price range. In my opinion, there isn't that much difference in similarly priced rods of the more popular brands.

H20 I got this one last year when it was on sale, very good rod for the price. It's just as good as my carrot stix. I mainly use it as my t-rig worm rod. Also Academy has a good return, if it get's broken.

Would it be worth just using the rod I have and wait till I can get the carrot stix.
