Sam Houston is actually really good at baseball for a non P5 school. Their coaching staff came from Rice and they get a bunch of Rice transfers.

Regardless it's about time for Augie to go also. With the exception of making it to Omaha last year, UT baseball has struggled since 2009, for UT standards anyways. It's a new era for UT sports. Their long time coaches got complacent and stale and it's time for new blood.

i kept thinking about Mack Brown every time they showed Augie. Is UT the most under achieving school in all men's sports given the wealth of talent in Texas?

2 years ago at the BR regional they split with ULL and gave LSU a scare with Nola on the mound.

Last year they made it to the regional final at TCU.

We're not talking about some scrub program here.

no they didn't. each of their long time coaches had one bad year (literally) and the fanbase is too spoiled to stand it.

2010 football - only bowlless season in Brown's tenure
2012-2013 Basketball - only NCAAless season for Barnes
2013 Baseball -

seriously... it's mindblowing that they can have those coaches with that kind of record and postseason presence and force 2 (probably 3 soon) out.
