that pick wouldn't surprise me at all.
I get what he's saying but what are the chances of having a few starters in the secondary go down with injuries two years in a row?
Browner is a little older than I thought so maybe picking Waynes wouldn't be such a bad thing. Kyle Wilson is on a one year deal, right? He's probably going to be a stop gap guy for depth in the secondary.
I wouldn't hate the pick at all. We need to get better on defense and usually the most talented pass rushers go quickly. A few teams could make some bizarre picks and some guys could fall but it seems like we seldom take players who slip some in the draft.
I guess Cam Jordan would be the recent exception because a few teams took a QB in that draft earlier than usual.

Oh, you don't think the Saints need to address cornerback in the first round of the draft because they've already signed Brandon Browner in free agency? Well, you're an idiot. The Browner signing is like putting a Band-Aid on a severed limb. It's not gonna stop the bleeding. The Saints need to do more than bet the house on a single starting-caliber defensive back. Look how well that worked last season. **cough Jairus Byrd cough** Because you can bet your arse that at least one of them will be injured at some point during the season and it's not going to be pretty if Terrence Frederick has to start a few games.
