I think most of yall are not realizing what brought this film so much money and attention. The death of Paul is what brought everyone to this film. Everyone wanted to know what they would do with Paul and how they would end this film. If Paul hadn't died I wouldn't have gone to see it. I just watch 6 like a little over a week ago so I would know what exactly was going on. If Paul wouldn't have died I wouldn't have watched 6 or went and saw 7. The tribute at the end is being discussed widely. Lots of people want to see this for Paul. If there is an 8th movie it won't come close to what this one made.

You say that like the last few movies haven't been huge hits as well. I'm sure his death brought some extra interest in this one but all of these movies have been hits. Fast 5 completely re-energized the series and was a monster hit.

I think what WETA did was so fantastic, from a physical standpoint, that they could put him in the 8th film if they wanted to. WAY more of that film was body doubles than people think. I don't care what the director said before they reshot it. The bigger problem would be making his dialogue sound natural. Though for a short cameo type scene where he is simply talking on the phone to Vin it would be fairly easy.
If they say Paul's character would be back in the 8th. This same thing would happen, because everyone would want to see how it was done.
Regardless, at this point, the eighth one is happening. Too much money.
