Anyone ever been... Waste of time or do they have good deals?

It's awesome. Total crap shoot though. There could be nothing you are interested in or tons of good stuff.
Was there one time when they were putting stuff from the crash of a Titleist truck out. Dudes were almost killing each other grabbing it up.

Never heard of it. What is it, just like a flea market?

They have a contract with insurance companies to sell items damaged in transit or other items that the insurance company pays out on and then owns.
Most common example is items from 18 wheeler accidents. For instance, shipment of tennis shoes gets spilled out on the interstate after the truck wrecks. They come and scoop up all the shoes, some still in boxes and some not, and the insurance company pays Nike for the shipment. They now own the shoes and Salvage World has a big warehouse store where they just dump all the shoes on a pallet or throw them on a shelf and sell for cheap. It's just kind of fun to go there and see what the hell they have for sale that day. I hate shopping but the crap shoot nature of it is entertaining.
