Can we really say with certainty that's entirely to do with coaching? Or maybe, just maybe it has to do with th character of the kids that's have been recruited in the past?

Go back to Periloux and start from there. You had Zach Lee, a commit that chose to pursue Major League Baseball and has been pretty successful in that arena. Around the same time, Periloux is kicked off. Since then, with the exception of Mett, it's been a complete shite storm of low character, semi athletically gifted kids. Lee didn't have the stones, Jefferson didn't have the head. Jennings has the stones and head, but nothing spectacular in talent. If you listen to the rumors, Harris had all the talent last year, but not the head. So can we truly blame everything on the coaching? Or do the players carry some of the blame? Say what you want, coaching can't always corrcet bad behaviors.

Brandon Harris and Feleipe Franks are extremely refreshing in this regard. In the past, I think the staff would have shown a great deal more interest in staying in the Cole Kelly and Shea Patterson races. Those are not the kids we need on this team.

Yearly Quarterback rankings.
We are bad more times than good. Since Saban has been at Bama his QBs have not been ranked outside the top 40. I don't consider any of them NFL caliber QBs just good college QBs. We run basically the same offense, the QB makes or breaks you.
