Yep, but the world has evolved. Polanski clearly has a genetic based sexual preference for children that he can't help. So the current continuum goes something like this:

heterosexuals, bisexuals, homosexuals, pedophiles, multi-sexuals, transexuals, animalism, etc., etc. each with their own unique genetically justifiable sexual predispositions.
