My dog is heart worm positive and the vet is blaming the heartgard as becoming less and less effective

She actually switched us to advantage multi, which is applied to the skin

You may want to try it as an alternative

My dog stays outside, so I think the preventative is necessary

Any idea if the Advantage would solve the seizure problem? My lab has the exact same problem.

This.

Even though advantage multi is expensive, it is heartworm and flea prevention in one topical solution. Put it on the neck of the dog so they cannot lick it. Usually dries within a couple of hours. Best product on the market IMO.
