For long term fitness (build muscle, keep bodyfat% low) all able men should lift weights and use cardio as supplement only. the results are fantastic and I can't stress it enough. If you're very old and can't lift heavy then it's a different story.

Meh. I'm perfectly fine just using resistance bands, a pull up bar, and workout discs in my home.

I've never been fond of the thought of paying to go workout in a gym, plus I don't really like the hassle and effort of going to a gym.
