Depends on where you are going. Clarks Creek is where the waterfalls are and I think you are supposed to put money in a box there. Tunica WMA you have to have a valid hunting or fishing liscense or if you don't have a wild Louisiana stamp for $10.

I also recommend Clark Creek. Do the primitive path and prepare to have a pretty good hike. You'll be fine as long as you are somewhat active. It's about 4-5 miles around if I remember correctly.
You pay I think 2-3$ a person in an honor system box.

I don't have a hunting or fishing license, so I can't go in? is there anything else I can do if I don't have one?

The hunting/fishing license is only required for the tunica hills wildlife management area. The Clark Creek nature area is a totally separate area and has much more suited for the day trip. Several trails available that will bring you to the waterfalls.

If you don't have a hunting or fishing liscense and going to any WMA especially Tunica better have a louisiana wild stamp or you will get a ticket! Even if you just get out of your truck on side the road. Know that from experience!

Just a heads up about Clark Creek. Bring cash and do not cheat the honor system. I went about 10 times in 2014 and there was not a single time I went that people werent ticketed.
Wear in hiking shoes but also bring water shoes and towels. There are a lot of waterfalls to explore and a lot of the trail is the creek bed itself. Its a very nice day trip.

I stayed at Tunica Hills this past weekend and hiked the Clark creek trail also.
Tunica WMA
- tent camping only
- have to have La hunting/fishing license
- no pets
- i think the only hiking is a .5 mile trail. We went ride by but it was empty
-Just up the road is this place LINK. I rented the 2 bedroom cabin here
Clark Creek
- this is where you want to hike but no camping allowed
- 7 miles from the Tunica camp site
- $4.00 to hike/enter
- the "original" trail is 2.6 miles
- the "primitive" trail is an additional 2.6 miles
- bring a backpack with water and food. Moving at a moderate pace it took us 4/4.5 hours to complete. My handheld garmin said we went a total of 5.25 miles. highest elevation was 411ft
. We didnt stop for a lunch. Just snacks and water breaks. Stopped at all waterfalls.
- wear shoes that can get wet instead of bringing a change of shoes. you walk through multiple creeks for a while
- Me, my wife and dog and really enjoyed it.
- wear bug/tick spray. Ticks were bad. found a few crawling on me and about 7 on my dog
