The early 2000s must have been a really weird time to be in college.

Cellphones and the internet starting to become mainstream changed a lot.

The majority of homes only had dial up service and people paid for aol subscriptions. The dorms had broadband, so college kids discovered IM's and Napster pretty quickly.

It was also the birth of new types of reality television with Survivor.

ETA - Was totally off on the Real World, that was when it was in New Orleans and already shitty.

it is the generation that is supposed to be considered millennials but are far more on the side of Gen X.

Thats why i like to consider Gen Xers remember what life was like without everyone having cellphones and internet.
