I live in PortlandM and it's the safest place I know per capita and I would say PortlandO is probably right there with it

Yes so many of New Orleans' murders and violent crimes are committed by and on sailors and other transients.

I don't think we have a sailor problem. Even the employed stevedores are not a usual source of crime.

It's crazy right now man. In the past 2-3 weeks I've been showing my rental properties to people moving here from all over.

4 people from Baton Rouge that are tired of commuting(2 law students, professionals)

Couples from Delaware, NYC, Cali, Houston, (all working professionals)

A few actors just here for a few months

New professors from the East Coast going teach at Tulane and Loyola

New med student and young people that are part of some sort of start up company.

I've never seen anything like it. It's a great feeling meeting all these people flocking down here from all over the country.
