not available at the time
It turned out okay, but that's a weird way of looking at it. There wasn't a wing better than Babbitt or Miller available? They couldn't have found someone other than Salmons?

Cunningham wasn't available. Neither was Qpon until the trade. I don't know who else was out there.

They were turned down by Alan Anderson and Richard Jefferson. Not that those are big names, but part of the problem was only havving $2.7 million to work with, possibly only the $2 we gave Salmons if my $75 million payroll theory is accurate. Cole and Pondexter were both trade filler, it's not like Rivers for Pondexter or Salmons for Cole would ever have happened as 1 for 1 swaps for #basketballreasons. Now choosing Miller and Salmons over Casspi seems like a reasonable criticism, although it's unclear who didn't want who when it comes to Casspi and how he ended up getting waived.
