IGN gave it a 6.5 and they normally blow their load over Nintendo games. Must have been really bad

they've been pretty down on Mario Party for a while now though.
that said, the review basically said it should be good for kids but adults might get bored so if OP is going to play with his kid a bunch it might be a good buy.
