It actually seemed like they supported the content of the WVU player's trash talking. They're admitting to playing harder last night, which means they haven't been putting that same effort in for other games (which they obviously didn't need). That is what the WVU player said (minus the losing part).

I disagree. He suggested they don't play as hard as West Virginia and guaranteed a win as a result. They'd played hard enough to be undefeated when he made those comments.
What team do you know puts in the same effort in every single game they play no matter the quality of opponent?
