one of the goals this season was to become a winning team so all these young vets from losing teams could learn how to win.

So coming here to play for a coach who hasnt won anything is where they're going to learn to win? Idk about you, but I'm sick of hearing him use the "we're a young team" excuse. Three years ago he kept saying we needed to get younger( and we did, kinda), but how long does this continue to fly?

That's the million dollar question. All I know is I don't see a dead man walking when I look at Monty anymore and that wasn't the case when PTAO was going strong and this team couldn't figure out how to string wins together for anything.

The whole point of trading for Holiday, Evans, and Asik was to have guys who didn't have as steep of an NBA learning curve. And they have been better, despite the rotten injury luck.

We say the Pels are young, but the non Davis core guys are 6 or 7 year vets. There is real value to continuity, certainly. And injuries have messed it all up. But how much improvement is left after that length of time in the league for most players? And is the system good enough to maximize their talents?

To me, I think they need to move on from Monty or make him hire assistants that will challenge him some. I doubt this core of players is good enough to get where they want to go, but better injury luck and coaching would give them a better shot.
