I'm going through the same thing and Turbotax were no help. You should file a credit alert with the credit companies. If you do it with one they will notify the other two. I went with Equifax. It's a 90 day alert in case the thief tries to apply for credit they will notify you. Also each company will send you a free credit report you need to review. You have to request the reports.

Last I filed a fraud report with the Federal Trade Commission online.

This has been a big pain in the arse.
