Basically, I had an non-weight lifting injury that took me out for a bit and when I returned, I turned to other types of workouts to include crossfit. But, I think I have always liked being the powerful little fricker that surprises people, so, here I go again.
theres actually a bunch of medical science that shows that cardio endurance training is increasingly bad for you as you age, and strength training with heavy weights is better.
I'd love to make it to the 1200 pound club but that may be a bridge too far which is all good. I mean, I am an old fart.

I'm in the 1000 club now and I'm getting up there in age. I did it in the Louisiana State meet last year.
I haven't trained heavy exclusively, like I was doing last year, but I've managed to up deadlift and bench another 30 or so lbs combined.

I'm close to breaking the 1300 club.
But not sure I want to try.
