To be fair, it's still a single weekend and they are still showing off their "trophy" that they bash everyone else for. These tournaments use "ring events" to promote themselves and entice teams to sign up. I don't really care about the kid getting a ring, it's the hypocrisy of it all that gets under my skin. And I won't even start on "We're going to the World Series!" b/c we can afford the entry fee.
