These announcers are annoying as frick. You have the Ian Eagle sounding dude, accompanied by a Scot who exclaims at the highest of volumes every time someone makes a simple move with the ball to get away from a defender at midfield.

He holds nothing back and his passion is unrivaled for English speaking announcers.

Barcelona look hapless in possession. They lack the player who can move the ball from defense to offense. They need a Xavi-type player or else they will continue to get worked on the press. Messi is moving deeper and more central to get more time on the ball, but Madrid is doing an excellent job shading him. Also Neymar is playing poorly.

Madrid look fairly good, and Benzema is playing really well. What I love about him is that he is always opening up space, as exemplified by the goal. Moving away from goal, horizontally, drew Pique out, and created the space for Ronaldo. It's a simple thing, but Benzema is so self-less with his running (as in not asking for the ball to his feet so he can face the game head-on) that he allows Madrid to do what they want offensively.

Who would have thought that Barca would ever struggle with a possession based game.

Yeah, it is strange. Cruyf and Guardiola don't like it.
