The NBA has gone back and forth and forth and back on this issue. It was less than 10 years ago that HS players could throw their name into the NBA draft hat. Prior to that (30 years ago) it was also true.
NBA looks at NFL and thinks, let's do that. Farm system.
You want a farm system, then pay them, or start your own system. Player is 18, college isn't his thing, make him wait a year, become 19, sit out a year, then he's okay? Okay. Sounds like collusion to me.
