And Kentucky currently a bunch of really good COLLEGE players
Yes, they are.
Again, though, Langston Galloway starts for the Knicks. He was a good college player, no doubt. I've known him for a while. He wasn't even on an NBA roster to begin the season. And now he STARTS for them.
It's not like the talent gap between him and the Kentucky guys is that big, if any. And he's playing 31 or 32 minutes a game for the Knicks.

Other than Towns, I don't think their rookies will set the NBA on fire.
Agreed, except I think WCS will be awesome with a good point guard as he looks like a much better Deandre Jordan. I also think Lyles has an excellent game for the NBA, and Booker will be a solid role player. None of the other players impress me much besides Ulis, but I get a huge hard on for 4 year players.

The comment is absurd, but in the major sports, basketball has to be one sport that a stud college team could compete with a horrible pro team.
A division II college baseball team beat the Phillies like 2 weeks ago.

Kentucky wouldn't lose every game they played on an NBA schedule.

I think people are forgetting 41 home games for Kentucky. 15-point spreads are probably on a neutral site, right?

I agree.
Still, it's a pretty decent difference. One that some people might not be considering.
I know everyone agrees that the college home-court advantage is a lot bigger deal than the NBA (as we've seen NBA home-court advantage matter less and less lately).

I think you know what I mean. Judging one exhibition baseball game doesn't tell the story.

The best college baseball team would have a better record in games against the worst MLB team than than the best college basketball team would have against the worst NBA team - in normal years.
If you want to consider all pro teams, the best college baseball team could compete even better against the worst AAA team.

I would also agree. I don't think Kentucky's best chance to win would be a road game.
Again, I'm arguing ONE GAME. They'd have to win one game. They'd get better as the season went along. The talent gap against some teams wouldn't be nearly as large as others.
I think anyone who simply laughs off the fact that they could win one game out of 82 isn't really looking at this open-mindedly.

For me, it's too hard to get past the physical/strength gap in a kid in a college program and a guy who has been in an NBA strength training program for a pre-season. You could really see the difference in strength in a guy like Anthony Davis from his year at UK and his rookie year at the Pelicans.

I would argue there is a higher chance they win one.
ETA: Honestly, if you had to bet on it, which side would you take?

Kentucky would be lucky to win 3 games out of 82 game NBA season.
I think they could luck up and get hot at the right time and catch the Knicks or Sixers sleeping. But for the most part they would get destroyed night in and night out.
