The rest of the bball team needs to take a page out of Hornsby's book.

They need to stay over 2 hours after practice next year (like Hornsby do) and shoot 100 freethrows a piece. They've struggled with freethrows all year and I knew it would come back and bite them in the arse when it counted the most.

Ummm.... I hate to say it, but if Hornsby had just his average game yesterday, we win easily. He might have a fantastic work ethic towards practice, but whatever his approach was going into last night's game, it didn't work.

edit- I'll go further here. Mickey played very hard, and put up great numbers on both ends. Martin went off and had a great game. Quarterman absolutely dominated stretches of the game, and put up some very nice stats. Patterson hit some big 3's, and Gray provided a great spark and set the tempo in spurts.

There's one player missing.

kind of goes along what I was saying about them not working hard enough for an entire game.

There are only two ways a team with the level of talent as we currently have, can lose:

1. Other team shoots a ridiculous percentage
2. Lack of effort

he's very good at getting to the bucket and getting enough space off the dribble to pull up near the elbow or FT line, we don't need to just keep him roaming on the perimeter

I'd like to know why all that practice from him made him drop from a 94% foul shooter to 76%.
