im not gonna lie i kinda got onion syndrome watching that.
i played for a long time but never been part of a meltdown like that. everyone has been part of tough losses or career-ending losses but they don't always happen like that... he's right, the team played well for long stretches but couldn't finish.
it was frustrating to watch his play deteriorate over the last month-6 weeks but obviously there were physical issues at play. its disappointing that they felt confident enough in elbert to start the guy at the beginning of the year and didn't stick with him to the point where he can at least play in short spurts around the media timeouts to help these guys get some minutes on the bench. same with epps though i know both had injury problems at times.
if this was his last game i'll remember him for blocking a ton of shots, not missing free throws when he was gassed at the end of an emotional game.
