I know, right? Truth is, liberals and conservatives all want the same things. Peace of mind for themselves and their families, better infrastructure, less poor people, more money, peace, etc. They just disagree on the means of accomplishing these things, making the political side of this conversation a little meaningless. If taxes are the only way to meet these needs, then he'd either be for it or just have an impossible amount of work cut out for him.
Don't crucify me for this, but I don't find too many differences between the red team and blue team when it comes to their intentions.

Jesus didn't say to take people's money and give it to the poor. But he also didn't say it's ok to needlessly invade countries, lock people up for prostitution or marijuana, or say anything about gays or guns.
