Depending on where you live, ac service calls range from $75-$100 per hour. Don't fall for a diagnostic /trip call then they hit you to fix it. You almost have to let them do it since they are already there. Right now freon 22 cost are high. They likely will charge you between $30-$50 per pound. Any more or even at 50 they are screwing you. If you are low by 3-4 pounds, you will ice up. Again if they tell you you need 6-8 pounds, they are likely screwing you. Good chance you just need freon and should cost you $250-$300. Ask them first how they will charge you.good luck!!!

Either way, get it thoroughly handled now as prices are going to climb for reputable companies as the weather heats up.
