We're going to Canada this summer. Nova Scotia, any chance of seeing lights that far south?

It depends what month. If it's mid summer, probably not. Even though the sun sets, there are few hours of darkness even at that latitude so it lessens the odds of seeing it considerably. Early or late summer, odds are better.
They'll be seeing them tonight in that area.

The wife and I went to AK in the fall of 2011. Got to Fairbanks at about 02:30 and could see the Aurora; it was all white. Had to get on the bus and go to the cottage, and planned to take lots of pics, but by the time we got there, about 20 min, we couldn't see it any more. That was the only time in 2 weeks we saw it, but it was still amazing.

I didn't mean to sound like a dick, and I wasn't questioning whether the pictures belonged on the OB.
It was meant to be a positive statement.
Like it must be adventurous living up there and seeing things many of us will never see.

Awesome pictures! One day......One day I would love to see something like that I person - thanks for posting! Hunt Jr graduates this year and then all are out of the next so to speak, so, Ms. Hunt and I plan to do a lot more fishing and some travel, perhaps we can get up your way. So do folks just pull over or go park somewhere to view this and is a regular camera sufficient to grab pictures?

Yeah my bad. I apologize as well. Reading without hearing voice inflection can be tough on us older guys

Away from city lights helps. But yes, much land is public so you can go almost anywhere to film. A DSLR with a fast lens is preferable and you'll need a tripod and I use a remote shutter release
